Software Engineer Web-Backend (m/f)

Location: Munich


  • You will develop and maintain high-quality, web-based software components for tools used in the production and service of state-of-the-art light electric vehicle systems (pedelecs, e-bikes, smart bicycles, etc.)
  • You’ll be developing features in close collaboration with our embedded and mobile C++/Qt teams
  • Close coordination with the product owner, software architect and developer team is called for
  • Technical analysis of requirements and guidance of external developers/ agencies are among your duties
  • Development of elementary front ends for tests, prototypes and the internal purposes of product owners
  • You will identify and implement preferred tools and platforms
  • You’ll ensure continuous operation and continuous delivery for all Web-based software together with our Release Manager


  • You have comprehensive, demonstrable experience with Web backend development and/or operation, ideally in a DevOps environment
  • You’ve a university degree in Computer Science or other relevant subjects
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in Web development
  • You’ve got experience with cloud platforms (Heroku, AWS)
  • A good overview of common tools and frameworks for the Web is among your attributes
  • Experience with failure prevention and scaling of Web solutions
  • Having experience with Salesforce would be an advantage
  • You have experience with agile processes and modern professional Web development techniques
  • You exhibit the interest, initiative and willingness to independently become proficient in new subjects
  • Fluent spoken and written English (this is the team’s lingua franca)
  • Active participation in the open source community desired
  • You enjoy creating something new, adding your input and seeing your ideas be actualized
  • Passion for cycling (mtb, road, etc.) and sustainable transportation
  • You spend your free time with your Raspberry Pi or hacking your radiator
