Software Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f)

Location: Munich


  • You support the team along the entire development process: requirement definition, design reviews, test case definition, test case execution
  • Ensure all functional and non-functional requirements are covered by test cases that can be traced along the entire design cycle
  • Test cases will be maintained and executed by you
  • You’ll participate in cross-domain reviews of test cases (electronics, embedded, operating system, application, mobile, online)
  • You will assist other teams in test case writing and in adhering to our standards
  • Analyze requirements and technical specifications in order to design manual and automated test cases
  • You’ll set up, script and maintain the automation test environment for embedded, mobile and online systems
  • Generate test reports and track issues until they can be closed
  • You yourself perform (and support our teams during) root cause analysis
  • You perform smoke tests and apply a “test to break” attitude at the system level (test ride pedelecs, e-bikes, smart bicycles)


  • You must have +3 years of experience in software programming (C, C++, C++/QT, python)
  • You must have +2 years of experience with software testing methods and validation
  • A working knowledge of quality assurance processes and methodologies
  • You have a university degree in computer science, engineering or related subjects
  • Working experience with automotive networks (CAN, LIN)
  • Ideally, working experience with automotive tools (Vector, CANoe)
  • You’ve worked with tracking tools (JIRA) and/or requirements management tools (DOOR)
  • Ideally, you’ll have ISTQB Test Foundation Level certification
  • You have analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal skills and attention to details
  • Good communication skills are among your attributes
  • Fluent spoken and written English (this is the team’s lingua franca)
  • You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced and multicultural environment
  • Active participation in the open source community desired
  • You enjoy creating something new, adding your input and seeing your ideas be actualized
  • Passion for cycling (mtb, road, etc.) and sustainable transportation
  • You spend your free time with your Raspberry Pi or hacking your radiator
