BLOKS. and NuVinci Cycling enter into a partnership

Munich start-up integrates continuously variable transmission into its system architecture

Munich, 23 August 2017 – BLOKS. integrates electronic components in the e-bike, combining them to create a flexibly adjustable kit. By integrating the NuVinci Harmony H|Sync in these kits, bicycle manufacturers can now use the electronically activated transmission by Fallbrook in the design of their e-bikes. Moreover, the shifting system by NuVinci Cycling can now be set and controlled by means of the BLOKS. control units meaning that, via the BLOKS. remote, the rider can select between manual and automatic shifting during the ride.

BLOKS. is premièring the heart of its intelligent system integration at the Eurobike: the BLOKS. node connects the electronic components in the e-bike. It is a multi-lingual interpreter which ensures smooth communication between the connected components such as the battery, motor, bike light and electronic gears. The automobile system architecture simplifies the integration of electronic components for bicycle manufacturers, creating new levels of creative freedom when it comes to the development of e-bikes.

BLOKS. GmbH is an innovative company with offices in Munich and Hong Kong. The experienced team of developers designs, develops and produces solutions and products which open up new creative freedom for developing e-bikes. In-vehicle networking – the connection of electronic components in the e-bike – as well as various connectivity options are at the heart of the development of the smart bike console for light electric vehicles.
